I love checking out the novelty section at my favorite sports betting sites once in a while, just to check on the whacky betting markets that are opened from time to time. I’ve come across some weird odds in my time, but nothing beats this week’s market on… bed bugs! So, if you’re in the know, you’d have heard that bed bugs are becoming so problematic around the world that the World Health Organization is mulling the option of declaring a Bed Bug Pandemic. Bookies are taking bets of 1/50 that the WHO won’t declare a pandemic by the end of next year, and offering odds of 10/1 that it will. The best was reading about the US government’s response to the problem… the creation of a Bed Bug Pandemic Response Plan! I have DEFINITELY heard it all now!!
