When you’re the biggest TV tycoon in the world and you have enough money to do with as you wish, there’s nothing stopping you launching the biggest gambling show ever made in history. Simon Cowell rolled out his plans to launch a roulette based game called Red and Black, where seven contestants have the chance to win £1 million or go home empty handed. The show, which will be hosted by Ant and Dec, will be filmed in front of 7,000 people at Wembley Arena in June. Contestants need to guess the result of some amazing challenges along the way that have a 50/50 outcome. Gambling critics are already sniping at Cowell’s ankles but the tycoon is adamant that there is no risk involved. “It’s not gambling because people are not using their cash,” he retorted.

Of course, this price is nowhere near the $13 million obtained for sex.com or the $3 million for vodka.com, but in the grand scheme of things, I think that Media Tech got a pretty good deal for a sequence of letters in a virtual world!!
